Designing the navigation bar

Our wikispaces themes utilise a left hand navigation bar.

When you receive your new wiki a MANUAL mode will be in place that allows you to:
  • select which pages are listed in the main navigation (and which pages you 'hide' or link to only from within page content)
  • Arrange your navigation bar content into sections (see the grey sections in the navigation bar of this wiki)
  • Use whatever words you choose in the navigation bar to link to any page (eg.here "Applying for a wiki" links to a page called 'apply')
  • Link to external sites

This means that pages are NOT automatically added to the navigation bar when you create them.
To add pages to your navigation bar or to edit it first click on EDIT NAVIGATION at the bottom of the navigation bar (bottom left of your screen)
The navigation bar will open as a list in the main section of your wiki, and is edited in the same manner as a normal page.
