Layout and style

To keep our UNSW consistent and functional we have adopted some basic formatting styles

If you are not sure of what settings to use the easiest way is often to click on EDIT THIS PAGE on a page you want to replicate and see how it has been constructed.

Generally pages are formatted as follows:
The top header 'Layout and style' in this case, uses the HEADING 1 format.
To apply the format, highlight your text and select HEADING 1 from the drop down list on the toolbar where you see (by default) the word NORMAL.

Sub-headings use a HEADING 2 format and so on.

Normal text uses the 'NORMAL' format although colours, bolding and italics can be applied.

Apart from general layout benefits, any text with a HEADING format applied will show in your Table of Contents
